The School offers classes up to 12th standard and follows CBSE syllabus. Due importance is given to Malayalam and Hindi. This comprehensive approach helps in developing the language and literacy skills of the students. Value education, Computer Science, Computational Thinking, Artificial Intelligence & Robotics, Drawing, Music, Dance, Physical education etc. are part of the curriculum. The teaching methodology aims at developing the seeking, learning, reasoning, articulating faculties of the students. It facilitates the perfection of Body, Mind and Spirit. Retreats, seminars, educational tours, counselling etc. are regular features.

Each academic year is divided into two terms. The first term is from June to September, the second term from October to March.

SCHEDULE OF WORK

School timings are to be strictly observed. Students are expected to be in the school by 9.10 a.m. Regular work of the day is from 9.20 a.m. to 3.15 p.m and the lunch interval is from 12.45 p.m to 1.15 p.m. Remedial classes, will be held on fourth Saturday. Other Saturdays will be holidays unless otherwise notified.

SCHOOL REGULATIONS

ABSENCE AND LEAVE

1.  Punctual attendance is expected of every student and no student shall absent himself from his class without the prior permission of the Class Teacher or Principal. An application for leave should be sent to the Principal in advance or on the first day of absence. Applications for leave must be attested by parent or guardian.
2. Class Teachers are authorised to grant leave of absence to pupils to the extend of two days (provided they are not the days of examination) Leave application for three days and more should be sent to the Principal.
3. Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than 14 consecutive days renders the students liable to have his /her name  removed from the rolls. Readmission may be granted only on payment of fresh admission fee.
4.  Absence on examination days will be viewed seriously. In the case of illness a medical certificate should be sent in.
5. Absence without leave will invite fine or any other punishment at the discretion of the Principal.
6. Minimum 75% attendance is mandatory for a student to appear in the Annual / Board Exam.

DISCIPLINE AND STUDENT CONDUCT

1.     Students are expected to be polite, courteous and disciplined at all times and in all places. They should greet their teachers and elders.

2.     Every student shall have the text books and note books required for the class he/she attends. No books, newspapers, periodicals, comics etc. other than the School books may be brought to the School.

3.     All assignments shall be regularly done and submitted.

4.     Inattentiveness, indifference towards any subject, discourtesy towards any member of the staff, or any act which affects the discipline or tone of the school will be viewed seriously.

5.     Cleanliness of person and dress is expected of every student. The uniform must be clean, and full. Students should be properly and decently dressed.

6.     Classrooms including walls, screens, writing boards and furniture should be kept clean and tidy. Students will not disfigure / paste /draw/scribble/write on desks / walls / school    property. No student is allowed to write on the blackboard unless asked to do so by the teacher.   

7.     Waste papers/toffee wrappers should be put in waste baskets kept in classrooms. Food waste should be discarded in separate bins placed in the washrooms. Students are strictly prohibited from throwing /discarding papers and waste materials in the classrooms/veranda / open area.

8.     Habitual negligence in school work, dishonesty, obscenity in words or deeds, insubordination or such other acts of misconduct will invite severe disciplinary action, which in extreme     cases will be expulsion.

9.     Students are expected to be honest, cheerful and polite.

10. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings

11. Reports of the student's conduct, punctuality, progress in studies as well as result of the monthly tests and terminal examinations will be given in the diary. Parents are requested to take note of these reports and put in their signature and to take remedial measures, if needed.

12.  The use, possession, or distribution of tobacco, drugs, or other intoxicating substances is strictly prohibited within the school premises.

13. Any damage done to school property or that of other pupils will have to be made good.

14. Pupils of one class/section are not allowed to be in other class/section even during the interval.

15. The classroom should always be a place of silence. Running about, playing and shouting inside class rooms are not allowed.

16. In the absence of a teacher, the class leader will be responsible for the discipline. He/She will see that order and silence are maintained. At the beginning of a period, if the teacher does not arrive within five minutes, the leader should inform the Principal.

17. Students are not allowed to bring razor blades or any other sharp instrument to the school.

18. Use of mobile phone is strictly forbidden. Carrying mobile phone with camera is a serious offence and the offender will be expelled from the school.

19. Pupils should talk only in English in the class rooms and in the campus.

20. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles to the school.

21. Withdrawal of children from class during the school hours is not permitted at all.

22. Parents are not allowed to visit classes.

23. Every student is expected to take an active part in the co-curricular activities like games, sports, literary association, educational tours, picnics etc. arranged by the school.

24.  The general behaviour of students should be good not only within the school but also outside. They should avoid vulgarity, evil and idle gossip in their behaviour. Good manners  are sign of their being cultured.

25. Give helping hand to your family, neighbours and companions in the school.

26. Do everything good for the good name of yourself, your family, school, society, nation and world.

27. All students when admitted to the school must make themselves acquainted with the rules mentioned above for their conduct while in school. Ignorance of the school rules will not be excused.

SCHOOL UNIFORM

Boys

a) Short pants and half sleeve shirt with School emblem on the pocket and black band on the collar (up to Class IV)

b) Pants and half sleeve shirt with School emblem on the pocket (for students from Class V to XII).

Girls

A) Pinafore with School emblem and half sleeve shirt with black band on the sleeves (up to Class IV).

B) Pants, half sleeve shirt and over coat (for students from Class V to XII).

Uniform footwear: Black shoes, with laces for boys and slip-ons for girls. Socks colour - Navy blue with double light blue stripes below the cuff of the socks.

Uniform Tie & Belt: Alternate light and dark blue stripes

(i) School uniform along with the uniform tie, belt, footwear and identity card is compulsory on all days for all students except on the exempted days that will be notified. Wearing of chappals /flip flops/sandals/slippers to school are not allowed.

(ii) All items of apparel must be clean and well pressed and shoes must be polished regularly.

(iii) Boys should tuck in their shirts.

(iv) Boy's hair should be neatly trimmed. Side burns and long hair are not permitted.

(v) Girls with long hair should have their hair plaited into two and tied with navy blue ribbons. Girls with short hair up to shoulder should knot the hair into single or double pony tail with blue ribbons. They are not allowed to use nail polish, make-up or grow long nails.

(vi) Students are strictly prohibited from wearing any ornaments in the school.

Sports Uniform: School House T-Shirt, track pants and white sports shoes can be worn by the students on the days of HPE periods.

SCHOOL FEES

For the convenience of parents, fees will be collected in three instalments in June, September and January of the academic year. Late fee will be charged for the fee instalment paid after the stipulated month. School fee can be paid through online fee payment link provided in the School website: www.mmarcentralschool.org. Parents who wish to pay fees at the School counter can remit through cash / digital payment process.
